About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician Certified is responsible for safely and effectively reprocessing surgical instruments and medical devices, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution. The role supports patient safety and clinical operations by complying with infection control standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The technician maintains accurate documentation for traceability, participates in quality assurance initiatives, and pursues ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and organizational policies. This position works the PM shift, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
An associate is required to obtain an accepted certification within one year of hire: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT), Certified Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, or Surgical Technician-Certified from the National Center for Competency Testing.
Mandatory Reporter Certification.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of sterile processing experience.
