Sterile Processing Technician Certified - Part Time
About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician receives, fills, and delivers supply orders; processes and sterilizes instrument trays; and cleans and inspects patient equipment. The role gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts, operates equipment and some computer systems, and inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts. The position is part-time, with 12 hours of work across 2 days per week. Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is a 46-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas, serving Midlothian and northern Ellis County. It offers emergency care, advanced surgery, imaging, and labor and delivery, and has 16 emergency department beds, two operating suites, and digital and medical technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program, a Surgical Technologist Program, or on-the-job training in a hospital-based training program.
- Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD.
