About The Position

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts (3pm - 11:30pm) with rotating weekends. Under supervision this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam (autoclave), H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers; store, date, rotate and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation. Requirements

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 1 year of experience, or Graduate from a central service program.
