About The Position
The SPD Technician ensures the safety and quality of patient care by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in surgical procedures and patient care areas; working closely with healthcare professionals to maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher
- Must obtain Certification as a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required within 18 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous SPD experience or healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Completion of a sterile processing technician program preferred.
