About The Position

Our Sterile Processing Department at Memorial Belleville is looking to add a Sterile Processing Technician II to our outstanding team! In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care. This position requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (required)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years experience

Responsibilities

• Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule.
• Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers.
• Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose.
