About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Sterile Processing Tech II who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Sterile Processing Tech II you will: Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize and store procedure trays instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic techniques under direct supervision. Complete requests to dispense equipment and supplies and assists in maintaining and processing patient charge records and maintaining department inventory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing department preferred
• Certification from an accredited organization
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize and store procedure trays instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic techniques under direct supervision
• Complete requests to dispense equipment and supplies and assists in maintaining and processing patient charge records and maintaining department inventory
