About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician works in a fast-paced environment requiring detailed technical skills and contributes to patient safety and care through sterile processing. The role involves working with innovative surgical instruments and reprocessing equipment as part of a cohesive, supportive team, with opportunities to advance through the Reprocessing Department's career ladder. All required personal protective equipment is provided and meets OSHA and AMMI standards. The position is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week, on the night shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 11:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.; hours may vary based on clinic needs. The position is based at UW Health East Madison Hospital.
Requirements
- No minimum education is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or by IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician.
