Sterile Processing Tech I
About The Position
UW Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to work in a fast-paced environment requiring detailed technical skills. The role contributes to patient safety and patient care through work with surgical instrumentation and reprocessing equipment, as part of a cohesive, supportive team. The position offers opportunities to advance through the Reprocessing Department's career ladder. Required personal protective equipment is provided and meets OSHA and AMMI standards. This is a 100% FTE position, 40 hours per week, on the night shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 11:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.; hours may vary based on clinic needs. The position is at UW Health East Madison Hospital.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or by IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician.
