About The Position
UW Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to work in a fast-paced environment requiring detailed technical skills. The role contributes to patient safety and care by working with surgical instruments and reprocessing equipment as part of a supportive team. The position offers opportunities to advance within the Reprocessing Department’s career ladder. Work schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week on the evening shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; hours may vary based on clinic needs. All required personal protective equipment is provided and meets OSHA and AMMI standards. The position is at UW Health East Madison Hospital, described as UW Health’s newest hospital and an advanced hospital and wellness center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or by IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician is preferred.
