About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician 1 is responsible for reprocessing and assembling specialized instruments and equipment used throughout the Medical Center. This role involves maintaining instruments to ensure high performance during surgical procedures, operating specialized washers and sterilizers, and documenting required information and records. The technician also ensures correct inventory numbers and restocks equipment and supplies as needed, while adhering to policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines. The position requires utilizing interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and safe patient care, and contributing to a cooperative and culturally diverse work environment. Other duties may be performed as needed.
