About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician 1 reprocesses and assembles specialized instruments and equipment utilized throughout the Medical Center. This role is crucial for maintaining instruments to ensure high performance during surgical procedures. The technician operates specialized washers and sterilizers, documents required information, and maintains records. They are responsible for ensuring correct inventory numbers and restocking equipment and supplies as needed, while adhering to policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and contribute to safe patient care, fostering a cooperative work environment among a culturally diverse workforce. The role also involves performing other duties as needed.
