About The Position

The BJC Center for Advanced Medicine is opening a new facility located in Sunset Hills! Experience with GI scope cleaning and leadership skills are preferred. This role directs and supports sterile processing staff to provide quality, efficient, cost-effective decontamination, sterilization and distribution services with proper management of service utilization and inventory levels.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years experience
• < 2 years supervisor experience
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GI scope cleaning
• Leadership skills
• Associate's Degree in Business/HC Admin/related
• 5-10 years experience
• 2-5 years supervisor experience

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure the appropriate professional standards are consistently applied.
• Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning, operations and maintenance consultation to management at BJC organizations.
• Assists or manages the operations of unit services and integration with other departments.
• Provides input and may create effective work plans that include identifying the correct resources, processes and space needed for the work unit.
• Monitors surgery schedule of cases to assure proper instruments are available.
• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
