Responsibilities include cleaning, wrapping, sterilization, storage, and distribution of instruments and supplies used by the Procurement and Processing department.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated physical ability to lift, carry and/or move equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for ninety percent of the work time
Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Good eye and hand coordination
Interpersonal ability to interact with staff and management
Ability to prepare the documentation necessary to conform to the standards outlined in SOP policy, AAMI and AATB standards, OSHA requirements and all other relative agencies

Responsibilities

Assist in cleaning and decontamination of surgical instruments and/or equipment as directed.
Unload Washer/Disinfector and transport equipment to Prep and Pack area.
Inspect, wrap, pouch and barcode items in accordance with proper procedures in preparation for sterilization.
Unload sterilizer carts and place equipment in proper locations.
Ability to identify various external sterilization indicators on equipment and supplies and ensure that the integrity has not been compromised.
Basic knowledge of Central Services sterilization processes and techniques.
Fulfill processing needs for equipment and supplies as called for, ensuring customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Receive deliveries and place supplies in proper locations within Central Services as necessary.
Maintain and fill solution carts as needed.
Stock and deliver case carts per processing schedule.
Maintaining inventory par levels for Central Services in order to properly supply Processing and Procurement department needs.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and event-based cleanings. Perform targeted deep cleaning as directed.
