Sterile Compounding Technician
About The Position
Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy is hiring a compounding Pharmacy Technician. The role is suited to a bright, energetic, detail-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who is interested in learning and growing in compounding. Compounding experience is desirable but not required. The technician prepares compounded medications under the supervision of a compounding pharmacist, helps maintain environmental monitoring and cleanroom space, and packages and labels medications. Training is provided, including instruction on following standard operating procedures and USP standards.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and USP standards during training.
Nice To Haves
- California pharmacy technician license in good standing.
- At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or compounding setting.
- Previous compounding skills or experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare compounded medications under the supervision of a compounding pharmacist.
- Maintain environmental monitoring and cleanroom space; training will be provided.
- Package and label medications.
- Follow standard operating procedures and USP standards provided by mentors during training.
