About The Position

This position is for a STEM Teacher in Yukon, Oklahoma. The teacher's primary goal is to guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation. The role involves instructing assigned classes, preparing lessons, creating an effective learning environment, and guiding the learning process to achieve curriculum goals. The teacher will also identify and address student needs, communicate with parents, plan curriculum, ensure student safety, assist with school policies, and engage in professional development.

Responsibilities

Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times.
Prepares for assigned classes with objectives to be achieved.
Creates an effective classroom environment conducive to learning.
Guides the learning process toward curriculum goals.
Establishes and communicates clear learning objectives to students.
Identifies students' needs and refers them to appropriate school personnel.
Maintains open communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.
Plans curriculum in cooperation with administration to meet individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
Assists administration in developing and implementing policies, rules, and regulations.
Attends and participates in faculty and professional activities.
Completes reports and school-related paperwork on time.
Accepts responsibility and arrives punctually for assigned activities and duties.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with co-workers.
Upgrades professional growth through professional training, workshops, seminars, conferences, college classes, or other professional activities.
Maintains appropriate emotional control, physical health, and personal appearance.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent.
