Lead STEM Teacher for After School

About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after-school programs. Lead instructors will guide students through our world-class, project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design, and more. This is a full school-year position with options to continue into additional seasons. We offer in-room teaching experience with excited students and paid training. No formal experience is required, but teaching experience in some capacity is highly preferred.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent.
Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday.
Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, or both.
Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience in some capacity.
Experience with technology.
Experience with children in an educational setting.
Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc.
Significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming.

Responsibilities

Guide students through a project-based learning curriculum.
Teach technology skills in areas such as coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, and game design.
Ensure consistent attendance and availability during after-school hours (approximately 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM), Monday - Friday.
Work with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers.
