About The Position

STEM majors interested in giving back to the IC community and assisting with recruiting efforts are encouraged to apply for the STEM Student Ambassador 26-27 position. In this position, you will assist in highlighting the STEM programs at Ithaca College to prospective students and families. Primary responsibilities include providing facility tours, answering questions, and conversing with prospective students and families, as well as assisting with Open House and in-person and virtual Admissions event. Ithaca College’s student employment program offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities that develop transferable skills sought by employers across various industries. These positions allow students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world professional settings, fostering both personal and professional growth. Responsibilities

• Provide facility tours.
• Answer questions from prospective students and families.
• Converse with prospective students and families.
• Assist with Open House and in-person and virtual Admissions events.
• Participate in New Hire training.
• Lead facility tours as scheduled, typically on Mondays and Fridays, 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
• Occasionally participate in weekday and weekend Open House and Accepted Student programs (in-person and virtual events).
• Fill extra tour shifts as needed.
