STEM Instructor (After School) – Silver Spring, MD 20910
About The Position
BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and dependable After-School STEM Instructor to lead hands-on learning activities for elementary-aged students in Silver Spring, Maryland. Instructors teach basic science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts through age-appropriate experiments, building challenges, games, and creative design activities. The position is in person, part time, and scheduled for after-school afternoon hours on Monday through Friday, depending on program scheduling. Session length is 1.5 hours, with the schedule to be confirmed. Curriculum, activity guidance, and materials are provided; lesson planning is not required. Pay is listed as $37.50 per session ($25 per hour), with a separate posting detail listing $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Requirements
- STEM, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or education experience is preferred.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
- Be patient, creative, dependable, and organized.
- Be comfortable leading elementary-aged students.
- Have reliable transportation to the program location.
- Successfully complete required background checks.

- Experience as a STEM or science instructor, teacher, tutor, or educator.
- Experience or enthusiasm in science, technology, or engineering.
- Experience as a maker or hands-on activity leader, camp counselor, or youth program instructor.
- College students and recent graduates with relevant experience are welcome.
