About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging STEM After School Instructor to lead classes for K-5th graders. This role involves teaching programs such as RoboCoding, 3D Printing, Chess, Ballet, and Lego Robotics. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a fun, educational environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5th grade range.
- Knowledge and passion for STEM subjects, particularly coding, robotics, and 3D printing.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain student engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to the Maricopa, AZ site.
- Availability on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching specific programs like RoboCoding, Lego Robotics, or 3D Printing.
- Background in education or child development.
- Experience with chess or ballet instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach STEM-focused after-school programs including RoboCoding, 3D Printing, Chess, Ballet, and Lego Robotics.
- Engage students in grades K-5th with hands-on learning activities.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans according to program guidelines.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
- Attend any required training or staff meetings.
