About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated STEM After School Instructors to lead engaging programs for students in grades K-6. This role involves teaching a variety of subjects including Woodcraft, Little Doctors, and Fashion, fostering a love for learning and exploration in a fun, after-school environment. The position is based in Valley Glen, CA.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-6th grade setting.
• Passion for STEM education and a creative approach to teaching.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain student engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be available to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
• Must be available for the specified class dates from September to December.

Nice To Haves

• Background or experience in Woodcraft, basic medical concepts, or fashion design.
• Previous experience as an after-school instructor or camp counselor.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct students in STEM-related activities, including Woodcraft, Little Doctors, and Fashion.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that are age-appropriate and engaging for K-6th grade students.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
• Prepare materials and set up the classroom for each session.
• Attend any required training or staff meetings.
