About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEM Instructor to lead after-school programs for students in grades K-5. This role involves facilitating hands-on STEM activities and fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Classes are typically 60-minute blocks and run Monday through Friday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
- Strong knowledge of STEM concepts and ability to teach them in an engaging way.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a STEM instructor or educator.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Education.
- Experience with curriculum development.
- Familiarity with various STEM educational tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in STEM programs.
- Facilitate hands-on STEM activities and experiments.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
- Prepare and organize materials for each class session.
- Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
