About The Position

This role involves welding new or used panel frames, panel stands, gates, and related steel products. The primary focus is on TAC welds used for holding materials in place, rather than structural welding. The position requires receiving work orders, determining and cutting necessary materials, checking weld quality, using precision measuring tools, performing basic maintenance on welding and sawing machines, and maintaining a clean and organized shop. Additionally, the role includes participating in warehouse inventory counts, managing multiple priorities, building custom orders, and performing all duties safely.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Basic knowledge of machinery/safety requirements.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical demands including standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, and climbing.

• College education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld new or used panel frames, panel stands, gates, and related steel products.
• Perform TAC welds used for holding material in place.
• Receive work orders from Team Leader.
• Determine and cut materials and sizes needed for work orders.
• Check weld quality (strength and cosmetic).
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
• Perform basic maintenance on Weld and Saw Machines.
• Keep the shop clean and organized.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Manage multiple priorities.
• Build custom orders.
• Perform all duties safely and as directed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
