About The Position

The Steel Planner is responsible for the consumption and management of Structural Steel Bills of Material (BOMs) using 3D product models to develop clean, executable work packages for Production throughout all stages of vessel construction. This role ensures that steel components, materials, and work scopes are sequenced and planned in alignment with build strategies, production requirements, and project schedules. The Steel Planner integrates Inspection Test Points (ITPs) into the planned work sequence, ensuring quality requirements are embedded within the production process and enabling efficient execution, inspection, and completion of work. Success in this role requires strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, 3D modeling systems, production planning, material control, and quality assurance processes.
