About The Position

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., established in 1994, is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, with plants in North Jackson, OH, Dunkirk, NY, and Titusville, PA. Universal Stainless produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel long products and plate including stainless steel, tool steel, bearing steel, gear steel, and aircraft quality low alloy steels for use in a variety of industries. Universal is committed to providing the best quality, delivery, and service possible. This role involves working 3 days a week with full-time benefits, offering a choice between Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday shifts, with steady 12-hour day or night shifts available. The wage starts at $19.50, increasing to $20.00 after the probationary period, with an additional $0.50 shift differential for night shifts.

Requirements

• Tow motor and overhead crane experience required
• Must be able to read a tape measurer
• Must have reliable transportation
• High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience preferred
• Remote Crane: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assisting operators with creating steel ingots from scratch
• Preparing raw materials for melting process
• Helping with pouring & molding process
• Organizing launders with overhead crane
• Moves materials via tow motor or remove overhead crane.
