About The Position

Basin Industries is seeking experienced MIG Welders to join its team producing custom-designed racks and material-handling solutions. The company has a worldwide footprint and has received Toyota’s “Packaging Supplier of the Year” award for the last seven years. The welder manually guides an electrode or gun along a weld line, maintaining the appropriate arc length and movement speed to achieve the specified fusion depth and bead. The role also includes required BPS reporting and metrics, including 5S. The welder may act as a line leader, setting up lines and checking coworkers’ weld quality as needed, and performs other duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Saturdays and overtime as needed.

Requirements

At least 2 years of welding experience.
Ability to perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents.
Ability to read a calibrated tape measure.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to read and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-form documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
Forklift certificate or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Manually guide the electrode or gun along the weld line, maintaining arc length and movement speed to produce the specified fusion depth and bead.
Complete required BPS reporting and metrics, including 5S.
May set up production lines as a line leader.
May check the weld quality of coworkers as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
