About The Position

American Bin and Conveyor is looking for experienced Steel Fabrication Fitter-Welders to join our manufacturing team in Burlington, WI. This is a hands-on fabrication position for someone who can read a blueprint, lay out and fit steel, and weld components into finished assemblies. Our work includes conveyors, structural steel, bins, and other custom equipment used throughout the aggregate and bulk material handling industries. If you take pride in building from a print and seeing a finished product come together, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' welding experience.
• Ability to read and work directly from fabrication drawings.
• Experience working with and reading blueprints.
• Comfortable using tape measures and other tools.
• Strong basic math and dimensional skills.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
• Commitment to produce safe, accurate, quality work.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years' fitting experience preferred.
• MIG and Flux Core experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components.
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Follow required WPS instructions.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit-up.
• Grind, clean, and finish fabricated components as required.
• Inspect your work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Safely operate fabrication equipment and material-handling tools.
• Work with the fabrication team to keep jobs moving efficiently.
• Follow company safety and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management
