About The Position
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of steam systems and related mechanical equipment within a hospital setting. The role involves working with steam pipes, valves, fittings, and other components to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the facility's heating and plumbing infrastructure. The Steamfitter will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime and maintain optimal system performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of service work experience.
- EPA certification completed within six (6) months of hire.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Nice To Haves
- Five year steamfitter apprenticeship or equivalent apprenticeship.
- 3 years construction / installation of mechanical systems.
- Journeyman certificate or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair steam systems and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of steam pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with steam systems.
- Execute repairs to ensure efficient and safe operation of the facility's heating and plumbing infrastructure.
- Work on call rotation as required.
