About The Position
The Steamfitter works at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in northern Illinois. The position is full-time, 100% FTE, with a Monday through Friday day schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The posting requires three years of service work experience and requires EPA certification to be completed within six months. A current, valid driver’s license issued by the employee’s state of residence is also required. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay.
Requirements
- Three years of service work experience.
- Complete EPA certification within six months.
- Possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five-year steamfitter apprenticeship or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Three years of construction or installation of mechanical systems experience.
- Journeyman certificate or equivalent experience.
