About The Position
Performs maintenance and repair in the areas of plumbing, steam systems and welding. Position will be a welder for maintenance within Facilities Services for the repair of existing facilities steam or plumbing-related building systems and the fabrication of necessary components, taking direction from the Plumbing Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance welding, including the repair needs of all other Campus Maintenance Shops as need or available.
Requirements
- A valid North Carolina Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- A NC State Inspector’s License or the ability to achieve certification within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and repair in the areas of plumbing, steam systems and welding.
- Acts as a welder for maintenance within Facilities Services for the repair of existing facilities steam or plumbing-related building systems.
- Fabricates necessary components.
- Takes direction from the Plumbing Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance welding.
- Performs repair needs of all other Campus Maintenance Shops as need or available.
Benefits
- Sign-on bonus of $4,668 paid in 2 installments within 12 months of hire: $2,334 within 30 days of hire date & $2,334 12 months after hire date.
