Steam Rack Attendant
About The Position
The Steam Rack Attendant is responsible for washing metal equipment, glass, rubber, or plastic objects. This role involves operating steam cleaning/wash bay equipment, spraying objects with sprayer nozzle or immersing them in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris, drying objects if necessary, and dislodging debris. The attendant will also fill vats with water to specified levels, pour specified quantities of soap or chemicals into solutions, operate and move equipment into and out of the steam rack bay, load and unload parts into and out of caustic and soap vats, load parts into and out of an oven, and bead blast parts and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Basic literacy and math skills to read, write, and understand simple instructions and/or calculations related to the work.
- Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standard situations with occasional or no variables.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
Responsibilities
