About The Position
This is a position at Piedmont Correctional Institution located in Salisbury, N.C. (Rowan County), which is a Medium male prison facility housing 800 offenders. Employee will serve as operator and shift supervisor in a steam plant starting and shutting down boilers, monitoring various operational readings and making adjustments as needed. Position will report to facility Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in the operation and routine maintenance of large, complex steam boilers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of the operation of boilers arid related equipment.
- Working knowledge of the maintenance requirements of boilers and related equipment.
- Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks on a periodic basis.
