About The Position

Officially greets and caters to the needs of restaurant customers, hosting, and assisting restaurant staff as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months experience in a position that required exceptional customer relations skills.
  • Effective communication skills-verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Need to stand and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with wrist, hands, and fingers; lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Requires a criminal history background check.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess or obtain an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality service, graciously greeting guests entering the restaurant.
  • Greets and promptly seats guests, and initiates services for the customer (beverage, menu, specific set-up, etc.).
  • Maintain knowledge of the current menu and/or specials.
  • Take an active role in promoting guest service and advise Steakhouse Managers of guest service issues.
  • Assist with seating arrangements, including moving tables and chairs.
  • Take names for the waiting list.
  • Helps maintain a smooth flow in the dining room between guests and servers.
  • Assist as needed with table bussing, settings, and side work.
  • Handle guest questions/concerns promptly and professionally, deferring disputes/conflicts to the supervisor.
  • Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
