In this critical role, you will lead our Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) cabin upgrade projects. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering and real-world execution, taking full accountability for cabin architecture, engineering deliverables, and equipment development. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree-Engineering: (Mechanical /Aeronautic/Civil /Electrical Engineering)
  • 9+ years of experience within the aviation industry, with a heavy focus on aircraft cabin engineering, development processes, and design/certification paths.
  • Authorized to Work in the US.
  • Proven expertise in aircraft modifications, upgrades, cabin equipment integration, and advanced configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
  • Communication: A synthetic mindset with the assertiveness and clarity needed to present complex technical data effectively to executive management, partners, and customers.
  • Global Collaboration: High motivation and flexibility to thrive in a demanding environment, paired with the interpersonal skills to build a strong internal network across a diverse, international workforce.
  • Airbus aircraft general knowledge
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 21 (DOA / POA), Part 145 and CS25 regulations requirements.
  • Knowledge of Airbus tools: Airn@V, Tasky, PASS SSI, ICC, Zamiz …
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems ATA21/35/38/92 and associated installation related to aircraft cabins.
  • Delegated signatory for ATA25 within Airbus DOA.
  • Good communication, team work, synthetic mindset and assertiveness
  • Good coordination and relationship skills to work with team members, customers, partners, and other Airbus departments
  • Demonstrates a high level of listening and oral skills by leading discussions on issues, solutions, ideas, and status of work
  • Good presentation and communication skills, as well as able to do so effectively to management team

  • Requires an in-depth understanding of the complete cabin/cabin systems retrofit process, supporting projects from the initial technical proposal all the way through Return to Service (RTS).
  • Involved, negotiation type communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties

  • Delegated signatory for ATA25 within the Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA).

Responsibilities

  • Drive all engineering activities linked to a cabin modification project from inception to delivery, meticulously monitoring schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Partner with Sales to assess technical feasibility, define the scope of work, establish engineering assumptions, and estimate lead times and costs.
  • Lead Pre-Modification (Premod) analysis, manage configuration control, determine aircraft impacts, and draft Technical Requirement Specifications (TRS) and Long Lead Time Items (LLTI) lists.
  • Supervise 3D/2D pre-studies, 3D model integration, clash analysis, and the production of Cabin Definition/Installation drawings. Support Weight & Balance (W&B) calculations, Service Bulletin (SB) redacts, and Ground/Flight Test Plans.
  • Act as the primary technical focal point for suppliers during critical milestones (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FPDR, and FAI).
  • Provide on-site engineering support during aircraft embodiment and assist airline operators with post-delivery technical queries.
  • Ensure all cabin modifications strictly comply with Airbus engineering standards, aviation regulations, and rigorous safety requirements.
  • Perform all design and justification activities in accordance with Airbus-approved processes, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Commit to delivering engineering packages within agreed-upon budgets and timelines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify engineering workflows, tools, and processes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned from completed retrofit projects and integrating them back into the global team.
  • Other responsibilities and ad-hoc engineering support as assigned (5%)
