About The Position

To assist the Bon Appetit Manager and Supervisors in running the day to day operations and to directly oversee and train the student workers. To serve the student body and guests, effectively and timely.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two semesters working in Stav Hall or equivalent experience
  • Training in how to work all stations in Stav Hall, including the Servery and Salad Bar, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce proper safe food handling of all student workers (hand washing, gloves, temp logs, etc.)
  • Coordinate breaks to ensure all student workers have 15 minutes to eat a meal during their shift.
  • Coordinate with student workers on closing responsibilities to ensure the dining hall is properly cleaned and shut down after service.
  • Assist in the training of new student workers
  • Set up stations with appropriate utensils and serving pans
  • Compose and plate products according to guests’ desires
  • Assist Bon Appetit staff as needed
  • Keep work areas clean during service
  • Adhere to all sanitation, cleanliness, and safety guidelines
