Stationary Engineer (On-call)

Requirements
- Possesses a valid TSSA certificate as a 3rd Class stationary engineer or Refrigeration ‘B’ Operator
- 3-5 years of Canadian experience in operation/maintenance of all the Utilities including Ammonia refrigeration and Steam plant.
- Knowledge of PLC systems with ability to troubleshoot problems
- Flexibility to work on any shift (8h-12h, day, afternoon, overnight, weekends)
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain steam boiler systems, including water treatment (softeners, dealkalizers) and perform required water quality tests.
- Operate and maintain ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, including evaporative condensers, to ensure critical parameters are met.
- Operate and maintain air compressors and air dryer systems to ensure air quality supply.
- Operate and maintain water distribution and wastewater treatment systems in compliance with municipal bylaws.
- Operate and control HVAC systems to maintain required temperature and humidity levels.
- Perform daily plant inspections and maintain operational, maintenance, and safety logs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform corrective actions or minor repairs as required.
- Ensure utilities and plant equipment operate safely and efficiently, including participation in energy‑saving initiatives and monitoring fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
