About The Position

The Stationary Engineer Lead provides is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of boilers, heating systems, ventilation systems, air conditioning equipment, and related mechanical systems. This position ensures building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and company standards. This position requires availability for scheduling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years’ experience of verified Journey Level Stationary Engineer
  • Current Boiler License or Stationary Engineer License
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance of power generation equipment is required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, stretch, kneel, and squat.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periods.
  • Must have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks.
  • Must be able to work in personal protective clothing and equipment, such as coveralls, safety glasses, and gloves.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
  • You must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • You must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in the English Language per contract

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Monitor system performance and make operational adjustments to maintain efficiency and occupant comfort.
  • Inspect equipment for leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, pressure irregularities, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain proper water chemistry and treatment levels for boiler systems, when applicable.
  • Replace filters, belts, motors, valves, bearings, thermostats, gauges, and other system components.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of work orders, documentation and deadlines.
  • Maintains proper flow of communication with other SE and management team.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and facility personnel as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
