About The Position

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for operating building systems and equipment and performing periodic maintenance and repairs on a variety of building systems, equipment, and furnishings. On-call or standby duty is required and is rotated among the engineers. The position is full-time, with an FTE of 1 and 80 scheduled hours per biweekly pay period. The work shift is listed as all shifts, consisting of 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship in stationary engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical work, pipe fitting, or plumbing; or at least six years of equivalent experience performing building maintenance or systems engineering duties in a complex facility or environment, plus satisfactory completion of a trade course with a one-year duration.
