About The Position

Responsible for operating building systems and equipment and performing periodic maintenance and repairs on a variety of building systems, equipment, and furnishings. The position requires rotating on-call or standby duty among the facility’s engineers. The schedule is 80 hours bi-weekly, with all shifts consisting of 8 hours.

Requirements

• Successfully complete a four-year apprenticeship in stationary engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration, electrician work, pipe fitting, or plumbing; or have at least six years of equivalent experience performing building maintenance or systems engineering duties in a complex facility or environment and satisfactorily complete a trade course of one-year duration.
• Be able to meet the position’s physical requirements, including standing for most of the shift, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds, and sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.
