This position operates all campus heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, including boilers, steam absorption and centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, fans, pumps, and systems. The role involves maintaining accurate records, utilizing Building Automation Systems (BAS) for monitoring and control, responding to alarms, and performing preventive maintenance. The Stationary Engineer Lead is responsible for troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, executing repairs with minimal impact to patient care, and responding to building occupant complaints. The role also includes routine general maintenance, reading blueprints, leading small projects, and assisting facilities leadership with contractor oversight. This position acts as an informal resource for less experienced peers.
