The Stationary Engineer II is responsible for operating all campus heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, fans, and pumps, to optimize efficiency, safety, and occupant comfort. This role involves maintaining accurate records of equipment operations, failures, and repairs using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The engineer will utilize the Building Automation System (BAS) for monitoring, controlling, and responding to alarms. Additionally, the position requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC and other facility systems, responding to occupant complaints, and performing routine general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry. The role also includes reading blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments and responding to service calls and work orders to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
