About The Position

The Stationary Controls Technician position is located in Pasadena, CA, on a campus that spans approximately 2.5 million square feet and includes over 200 buildings. This role is part of the Controls Operating division, a team of about 5-6 people. There are two openings available for the first shift, which runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The interview process includes a phone screen followed by an in-person interview.

Requirements

• Can read/decipher BAS Programming such as understand Tridium Niagara block programming
• Effective problem-solving
• Years of experience as a Controls Technician
• Controls Troubleshooting
• Point-to-Point Commissioning
• Controls Install/Start-Up
• Rewriting Sequences
• Building Automation Controls Understanding
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems
• Operations of Air Handler Units
• HVAC Components, Pumps, Valves, Compressors, etc.
• Chiller Understanding

Nice To Haves

• Certified in Tridium Niagara
• Certified in Distech
• Prior experience working on Tridium Niagara front-end work stations

Responsibilities

• Controls Console monitoring
• Troubleshooting control systems from when identifying a problem such as seeing an alarm on a chiller
• Watching the alarm Console or responding for alarm occurrences depending upon what job one would currently be working
• Troubleshooting, upgrading controllers, and replacing Tridium JACEs
