BAS - Stationary Building Controls Technician
About The Position
The Stationary Controls Building Technician III will be responsible for maintaining building systems, including installation, wiring, servicing, and preventative maintenance. This role requires excellent troubleshooting and repairing abilities for various commercial building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and life safety systems and equipment. The technician will also interpret drawings, read schematics, and ensure all safety codes are met. The company is a property management firm founded over 30 years ago, specializing in building management, new development, and redevelopment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience as a technician in one or more areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing
- Must be clearable
- State Certified Journeyman’s License or equivalent required
- Excellent troubleshooting and repairing abilities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and its functions and building VAV systems
Nice To Haves
- Experience with energy management systems
Responsibilities
- Successfully maintain a building
- Install, wire, service, and perform preventative maintenance on building systems
- Troubleshoot all types of commercial building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and life safety systems and equipment
- Interpret drawings, read trade-related plumbing, mechanical, and electrical schematics, and internal writing schematics
