About The Position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join their Ground Handling Department as a Station Training Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality on-the-job training to new team members and continuous learning for existing team members at the station. This includes demonstrating proper use of all equipment and vehicles, along with hands-on de-icing training and follow-up. The successful candidate will have two years of airline experience, preferably encompassing all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp). This position will report to the Department Manager, Team Member Services. Requirements

  • Two (2) years of airline experience, preferably encompassing all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp)
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to defuse conflicts among team members
  • Clear driving record
  • 10-year Criminal History Records Check
  • Drug screen
  • Proof of high school or GED completion
  • Minimum 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced instructor or public speaker
  • Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Education, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Assign a variety of tasks and assignments to new hire employees, including airport familiarization
  • Demonstrate proper use of all equipment and vehicles
  • Provide hands-on training for de-icing
  • Follow up after all training events to ensure compliance
  • Assist with delivery and storage of station supplies
  • Provide support when special events are scheduled
