About The Position
The Station Supervisor reports to the General Manager and oversees the day-to-day warehouse operations and staff productivity. The role supervises employees, coordinates logistical processes, and ensures the quality of goods. The operation runs from late evening to early morning, and the position is scheduled five days per week. Sortation and trucking operations run seven days per week, so occasional weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have working computer knowledge, including typing, email, Word, and Excel.
- Must pass a background check for required badging.
- Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Self-motivated, able to multitask and work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Ability to meet physical lifting requirements of 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Multilingual speaker preferred.
- One year of management or foreman experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for warehouse productivity.
- Oversee warehouse employees, providing coaching and mentoring and issuing corrective action when required.
- Maintain communication with the operations manager and outside warehouse teams.
- Recruit and support the hiring of new warehouse employees.
- Monitor safety and security procedures for the warehouse, office environment, and goods.
- Enforce standard operating procedures for client-specific and standard receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Escort on-site clients as needed.
- Monitor equipment and maintain maintenance documentation.
- Train, guide, and evaluate new and existing warehouse team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
- Provide administrative support backup when needed.
