About The Position

The Station Security Manager administers and maintains policies to ensure the physical security of all property and assets owned by the organization. This role involves reporting and analytics of physical security to comply with TAPA America guidelines, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with contracted security teams to reduce incident response times. The manager is responsible for training and developing the local team, creating reports for customer and leadership review, managing the contracted security team, and developing security procedures and protocols in conjunction with contracted development. This position also requires partnering with the onsite SOC and Corporate Security to maintain compliance with global security policies and procedures, ensuring facility security hardware aligns with global standards, and investigating security incidents. Communication with law enforcement may be necessary, and availability after hours is expected due to 24/7 operations. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Required vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The job may require extended sitting or standing and the use of standard office equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization.
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year industry experience preferred.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains policies to ensure physical security of all property and assets owned by the organization.
  • Reporting and analytics of physical security, to be compliant with TAPA America guidelines.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations internally and externally.
  • Work with contracted Security team and their physical security guard team on-site in reducing SLA times for incidents on the site.
  • Training and development of the local team ensuring alignment with implemented security procedures
  • Creating reports and analysis for customer and leadership review
  • Managing the contracted security team and making sure they are reporting and doing their work
  • Creating internal training measures for contracted security team.
  • In conjunction with contracted development of security procedures and protocols for site.
  • Partner and coordinate with customer onsite SOC
  • Partner with Corporate Security to maintain compliance to global security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT & Corporate Security to ensure facility security hardware aligns with global standards
  • Reporting and investigating any/all security incidents at the location
  • Partner with Corporate Security regarding any security enhancements or process improvements surrounding local security
  • May communicate with law enforcement on security matters.
  • Availability after hours due to a 24/7 operations
  • Other duties as assigned
