About The Position

The Station Representative reports to the Station Manager and is responsible for the proper, safe, and efficient handling of assigned flights. This role involves coordinating cargo-related functions, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining the security and condition of cargo and aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates cargo-related functions, including inspection of ULD build-up operations and weighing of cargo.
  • Prepares and distributes load plans and Weight and Balance Load Sheets.
  • Ensures revenue cargo and COMAT are properly inspected, packaged, labeled, loaded, and restrained per Company policy, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Supervises and directs contract labor groups assigned to handling, loading, and off-loading assigned aircraft.
  • Trains and instructs vendors on safe and efficient handling of Company equipment and cargo.
  • Verifies the accuracy of all cargo, dangerous goods, and government documentation.
  • Inspects and operates aircraft cargo doors, cargo conveyance, and restraints systems, and reports discrepancies.
  • Inspects tendered ULDs for damage and deficiencies, ensuring contained cargo is adequately secured.
  • Makes temporary repairs to ULDs and rejects ULDs that do not meet minimum standards.
  • Ensures that no pilferage, loss, or damage of cargo occurs while in his/her custody.
  • Maintains control over all Company-owned/leased ULDs and cargo restraint equipment.
  • Closes all aircraft doors and secures the aircraft prior to departure at layover stations.
  • Ensures flight plans, weather information, General Declarations, and other flight operations-related documents are collected and available to the flight crew.
  • Coordinates with all contract aircraft service and cargo handling organizations, airport authorities, and government agencies.
  • Ensures catering has been correctly filled.
  • Ensures the aircraft is sufficiently stocked with dry supplies and all trash is removed from the aircraft.
  • Performs tasks to keep the aircraft cabin and cargo compartments clean and orderly and properly stowed.
  • Assists the FME and/or the flight crew in the servicing and maintenance of the aircraft at outstations.
  • Prepares reports and briefs flight crew on cargo and security conditions.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Station Manager or designated Supervisor.
