Perform all types of work involved in the construction, maintenance, rebuild, removal, operation, testing and inspection of energized or de-energized generation, transmission and distribution facilities. Assist in responding to emergency call-outs on station trouble and coordinating prompt restoration of service to customers as required. This role involves working on energized equipment up to 260 volts, and after six months, assisting with work on conductors and equipment energized at voltages above 750 volts with direct supervision. The position requires selecting proper prints and/or drawings, using various test equipment, and assisting in the maintenance and repair of station equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and rotating machinery. Responsibilities also include installing conduit, pipe, cable, and wire, using hand lines, digging trenches, and performing painting and climbing duties. The role involves using insulating materials, performing visual inspections, reading gauges, and reporting abnormal conditions. Additionally, it includes replacing lamps, switches, and outlets, installing and maintaining signal and communication systems, and assisting with electrical tests and station switching. The position requires knowledge of steel and aerial lift rescue, maintaining records, preparing reports, attending and assisting in training, and operating company vehicles and specialized equipment. The employee will also use hand and power tools, operate portable generators, and inspect personal protective equipment. Familiarity with knots used in station work is necessary. The employee may perform similar or less skilled work as assigned, assist employees of equal or higher classification, and direct the work of employees assigned to assist. A strong understanding of the Company's safety rules, resuscitation, and First Aid is essential, along with performing duties in accordance with safety rules and operating regulations.
