About The Position
The Bohemian Club has a variety of events, from small high-end intimate dinners to large banquet events serving up to 650 people. This dynamic allows for an ever changing, exciting work environment. Unlike most clubs, hotels and restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Bohemian Club allows for the majority of weekends and all major holidays off. If you are eager to learn and want to sharpen your culinary skills, our Culinary Team provides the an unparalleled opportunity through rigourous training and a consistently supportive environment. This position is a Local 2 union represented position and requires one to pay monthly union dues to Local 2 to stay actively employed at the Club.
Requirements
- A person who is hired for this position must be comfortable with a foodservice establishment with high expectations.
- High standard of excellence when it comes to work ethics.
- The individual filling this position should be well-versed, having a minimum of five years' field experience in quality clubs, hotels, or restaurants.
Nice To Haves
- Previous club experience a plus, but is not required.
Responsibilities
- All kitchen staff are required to be ServSafe certified and/or obtain a California food handlers' card
- Works closely with Kitchen Management Team to create a variety of menu options for each weekly service. Responsible for proper preparation and presentation of all offerings.
- Ensures a positive work environment for all culinary and service staff through mutual respect and morale.
- Assists in some aspects of ordering when requested.
- Ensures quality food service is always provided.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
