Idaho Power — located in vibrant Payette, Idaho — is looking for a Station Apparatus Technician Apprentice or Journeyman to join our Western Apparatus crew. What does a Station Apparatus Technician Apprentice or Journeyman do for us? Under supervision, they work in a team environment or independently to operate, maintain, test, commission, troubleshoot, install, and repair stations apparatus to Idaho Power, regulatory, and utility standards. They work with others to ensure efficient operations and that Idaho Power facilities are protected from threats and secure to the public, while maintaining integrity of the power grid. They work with engineering teams to monitor devices for correct operation and appropriate settings. A journeyman will also provide technical expertise and support for bulk electric system and regionalized dispatch for emergency power restoration, during and after regular business hours. They plan, schedule, and manage daily work activities and duties.
