About The Position

The Static Guard is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for customers and members of the public. This role involves adhering to company policies, procedures, and site-specific instructions. The guard will conduct regular patrols to protect buildings and property, monitor CCTV where applicable, and respond to emergencies. They will also represent the company professionally, assist management with security matters, and provide support to colleagues, customers, and contractors. Ad hoc duties as required by the company are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the ROI
  • PSA Licence is ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills – Fluent in English both written and oral
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with CCTV systems
  • Must be able to provide clear and a complete work history including references
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by the company
  • Good team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for customers and members of the public.
  • Adhering to the Company’s policies and procedures, and site Assignment Instructions.
  • Ensuring the proper and accurate completion of all reports, records and required documentation.
  • Carrying out regular patrols to ensure the protection of buildings and property from burglary or damage by fire, water, or the effects of bad weather.
  • Adhering to Company and customer health and safety policies and procedures, particularly in accordance with site risk assessments.
  • Calling emergency services as required by Assignment Instructions, and giving assistance to the Police where necessary.
  • Monitoring CCTV/Lectern where applicable.
  • Carrying out Arrests as per principals of ASCONE.
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and maintaining PSA standards in relation to code of conduct.
  • Assisting and advising Management of any matters affecting security within the location.
  • Understanding and carrying out conflict resolution as specified by the company.
  • Providing support, guidance and information to all colleagues, customers, and contractors.
  • Performing any ad hoc duties as may be required by the company.
